Key Takeaways

  • Neuroplasticity through learning: Learning one new piece of information doubles brain connections from 1,300 to 2,600, but these circuits disappear within hours or days without repetition. Consistent review and application transforms knowledge into embodied wisdom by conditioning mind and body to work together.
  • Breaking the 90% thought loop: People think 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts daily, with 90% being identical to the previous day. This repetition hardwires the brain into a fixed personality over 25 years, creating predictable life patterns where the same thoughts lead to same choices, behaviors, experiences, and emotions.
  • Meditation as state change: Effective meditation requires disconnecting from external environment by closing eyes, sitting still, and becoming conscious of unconscious thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. This practice shifts attention from outer world to inner world, allowing creation of new neural patterns independent of environmental conditioning.
  • Intention plus elevated emotion: Combining clear intention with elevated emotions like gratitude, love, or joy before an experience occurs creates electromagnetic signals that influence the quantum field. This practice requires feeling worthy and abundant before wealth arrives, not waiting for external circumstances to generate internal feelings.
  • DNA responds to combined signals: Research shows intention alone or elevated emotion alone produces no DNA changes, but combining both—visualizing a specific outcome while feeling the emotion of its completion—causes 25% of DNA to unwind, demonstrating that thoughts and feelings together create measurable biological transformation.

What It Covers

Dr. Joe Dispenza explains how to rewire the brain and body through meditation, elevated emotions, and mental rehearsal to create a new future reality by breaking free from past conditioning and stress responses.

Notable Moment

Dispenza reveals that 50% of what people recall about their past is fabricated, meaning many individuals spend years emotionally reliving events that never actually occurred, conditioning their bodies to remain stuck in false memories that shape their present identity and future possibilities.

Episode Transcript

Hi. Thanks for listening to the Tony Robbins podcast. This is just a quick note about this episode in case you'd rather watch and see the video of this conversation. That's found at youtube.com backslash tony robbins live. If you'd like to listen, you're in the right place. People say to me all the time, Doctor Joe, I'm in the unknown. I can't predict my future. And I always answer them the same way. The best way to predict your future is to create it. Not in the known, but in the unknown. So how many people in this audience believe in the idea that the way you think has some effect on your life? Just curious. So I'm in the right place. Yes? Yeah. So all of this knowledge that you're learning this week, every time you learn something new, you make new connections in your brain. That's what learning is. And the Nobel Prize laureate, Candel, in the year 2000 found that when people learn just one bit of information, they doubled the number of connections in their brain from 1,300 connections to 2,600 connections. But if they didn't review that information, if they didn't repeat it, if they didn't think about it, those circuits were pruned apart within hours or days. So if learning is making new synaptic connections, then remembering is maintaining and sustaining those connections. And I now know that if you give people sound scientific information, and science is the contemporary language of mysticism, Science demystifies the mystical, and if you can combine a little quantum physics with a little neuroscience, with a little neuroendocrinology, with a little psycho neuroimmunology, a little epigenetics, all of those new sciences point the finger at possibility. And as people begin to engage information, philosophical, theoretical knowledge, intellectual data, as they make those new connections in their brain, if they can turn to the person next to them and explain what they just learned, they're firing and wiring those circuits in their brain, installing the neurological hardware in preparation for the experience. So then when they apply what they learned, when they personalize it, when they demonstrate it in some way, they're gonna have to modify their behaviors. And if they can get their behaviors to match their intentions, they can get their actions equal to their thoughts, they can get their mind and body working together, they're gonna have a new experience. And in the midst of an experience, all of your five senses plug you into the external environment. And as your brain is gathering all this vital sensory data, all that information rushes back to your brain and jungles of neurons begin to organize themselves into networks. Moment those neurons string into place, reinforcing and enhancing the philosophical circuits that were made, the brain makes a chemical and that chemical is called a feeling or an emotion. And now you are teaching your body chemically to understand what your mind is intellectually understood. We could …
