Episode Transcript
Hello. So as you know, Revolutions is wrapping up, but I'm not going anywhere. In fact, in a couple of months, I'm going to be going everywhere. After several years of being denied the opportunity to do live events either for the show or for the book, we finally got ourselves a live tour. I will be on the road for most of September and October 2022. This tour is gonna be divided into two sections. The first one in September will be a bunch of bookstore appearances promoting the paperback of Hero of Two Worlds, which I should mention comes out 09/06/2022. It's now available for preorder. And if you come see me in September, you'll be able to buy it in a bookstore. So I'm attaching some information to the show notes of this little announcement, but I'm gonna run through the details right now so you can hear it at least once before you start emailing me and asking me for details. So kicking things off will be the official paperback launch of Hero of Two Worlds at Mystery to Me in Madison, Wisconsin on 09/06/2022. Then it is on to Seminary Co op in Chicago on September 7. Then I'll get on an airplane and go to Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon on September 8, Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle, Washington on September 9. And then I get a few days off before doing the Boulder Bookstore in Boulder, Colorado on September 12, and Tattered Cover in Denver on September 13. Then I will bounce down to Texas, where I have not been yet, even though I lived there for three and a half years. So I'll be doing Interrobang Books in Dallas on September 14, BookPeople in Austin on September 15, and Brazos Bookstore in Houston on September 16. Then I do a little sweep up and around, Garden District Books in New Orleans on September 19, then the Carter Library with a capella books in Atlanta, Georgia on September 20, Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on September 21, and Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 22. So that is 13 cities in sixteen days. It's gonna be quite a whirlwind. Come out and see me. Bring your books. Bring anything. I'll sign whatever. We'll talk about Lafayette. We'll talk about anything. It'll be great. I'm really, really, really looking forward to it. Now I also get to tease that right now we've got seven dates lining up in October for the ticketed shows for the performance that I debuted in Milwaukee. That went so well that I got a bunch of venues throughout The United States asking me to come out. Now what I do for these performances is gonna be different than what goes on in the bookstores. This is gonna be my hour and fifteen, hour and thirty minute meta reflection on the meaning and uses of history and storytelling and memory and just how we …
