Key Takeaways
- ✓Content Distribution Formula: Post 65% entertaining content that triggers emotions and shares, 25% educational FAQ answers that earn saves, 10% showcase content featuring client results, and only 5% direct sales invitations. This funnel moves audiences from strangers to buyers systematically.
- ✓DM Automation Strategy: Use keyword automation tools like ManyChat to capture email addresses when viewers comment specific words. One viral video generated 5,000 comments, converting 60% to email subscribers at zero acquisition cost versus typical $2-7 per lead on Facebook ads.
- ✓Share Button Priority: Instagram's algorithm values the share button most because it brings non-users onto the platform. Entertainment content that makes people share reels with their spouse or friends exponentially increases reach, often turning 10,000-view posts into 200,000-view posts through engagement signals.
- ✓Six Video Formats: Create content using b-roll with text overlays, time-lapses, face-to-camera tips, before-and-after transitions, documentary-style behind-the-scenes, and trending memes adapted to your niche. These formats require minimal production time while maintaining consistent posting schedules of three daily posts.
- ✓Stories Sales Conversion: Stories generate 10x higher engagement when asking for reply keywords versus link clicks. One two-minute story about clearance tools, filmed without makeup in workout clothes, generated 450 sales within 24 hours by using comment automation instead of external links.

Nicole Burke runs Gardenary, and she's used short form visual content to turn it into a 7 figure brand with millions of followers. Instagram is kind of like all of us have a little storefront. I need all these people to buy from me. I need to, like, get them into my store. Today, she's walking us through exactly how she does it, the kinds of videos she makes, how they connect to products, and why it actually works. 65% of your content should be entertainment. So many new creators are frustrated that nothing is happening with their content. The most valuable button in the algorithm is the share button. Button. The next type of content we wanna have is educational content. Instagram rewards you for having the best answer to the most frequently asked questions. A huge mistake I see almost every business owner make when they start is the once you've got this, they're literally driving around your store every day. This is where the magic starts. Three cups of coffee. I'm ready. Ready to go. So we met at our mutual friends do McLaren's event in Charleston. Yep. And I was immediately blown away, like, okay. Hold on. Who is this? And what is what is she doing on Instagram? And what's the business behind it? Because I feel like I meet people who have maybe the Instagram side, so, like, full on Instagram influencer. Or I meet people who build ecommerce brands, and they're like, oh, yeah. We do direct consumer. We're we make ads and all of that. So I'm like, when you said you would come out here to come on the show, I was like, yes. Let's dive in. So we'll have a full Instagram master class. I love it. You know, a lot of people will introduce me as an influencer or an Instagrammer, and I'm like, no. No. No. I'm a business owner. I just happen to grow the whole thing on Instagram. Yeah. And I think what's so interesting about that is that you have both the public face of the brand and all that, but you're building, like, for longevity. Yeah. And and we we wrote it up on the board, but you've built Gardenary to 6,000,000 in annual revenue. Yep. Fingers crossed. Yep. And we have a little bit more of the year to go. But, yeah.
