Key Takeaways
- ✓Interest Rate Predictions: Mindy Jensen forecasts three Federal Reserve rate cuts before June 2026, potentially driven by political pressure rather than economic necessity, which could trigger renewed inflation despite current economic stability and strong retail performance throughout 2025.
- ✓Stock Market Momentum: The S&P 500 closed 2025 with gains between 10-15%, with the Dow reaching 48,254 (falling short of the predicted 50,000). Predictions for 2026 include another 15%+ gain, though historical patterns suggest consecutive banner years increase correction risk.
- ✓Precious Metals Performance: Silver surged over 100% in 2025 while gold rose approximately 70%, significantly outperforming Bitcoin. Len Penzo predicts gold will reach $6,000 per ounce by December 2026, up from current levels around $4,300, citing continued inflation concerns.
- ✓Bitcoin Volatility: Bitcoin underperformed gold throughout 2025, tracking tech stocks rather than serving as a store of value. The panel questions whether Bitcoin will hit $50,000 before $200,000 in 2026, with growing skepticism about cryptocurrency's long-term viability.
- ✓Electricity Cost Surge: AI data centers, electric vehicle adoption, and climate-driven HVAC usage will drive electricity rates up 50% or more by late 2026. Current rates around 12.3 cents per kilowatt hour could reach 18.6 cents, significantly impacting household budgets.

Live from Joe's mom's basement, it's the Stacking Benjamin show. I'm Joe's mom's neighbor, Doug. And what events are going to shape 2026? You know how to find out? You head to Walmart and you buy a magic eight ball. That's how. So how did our eight ball fair last year? What's on our minds for 2026? And you guys, by the way, are like, I don't know. Just the just the teamwork between the two of you, fantastic. But knowing both of you independently as well, Mindy, you guys get along so well and you could not be more different. We really couldn't. And that is kind of why we get along so well. I'm not trying to step on his toes with, oh, but I know that too. And he's not trying to step on mine. We just get along really, really well because we have such different perspectives because we come from such different backgrounds. It is a super partnership, and we'll link to BiggerPockets money in the show notes. And the guy who you know, we don't have …
